We took the train into Zurich and checked into the hotel, which was really nice. It made a nice end to part one of this adventure. We took a walking tour of Zurich- thank you to Rick Steves who provided us with endless walking tours of all the cities we visited. We had lunch on the 5th floor of the Manor department store. The high-end cafeteria Manora was almost overwhelming. It was like a food court except that everything was fresh. They made the pasta dishes or salads or meat dishes right there for you while you waited. It was wonderful. We were disappointed not to visit Fraumunster cathedral with stain glass made by Marc Chagall- due to a private event. We headed back to the hotel for a relaxing evening. The hotel had a business lounge with snacks and drinks where we had “dinner,” and enjoyed some time to read. We also watched the last 3 episodes of “Homeland” on the computer. I would highly recommend this TV show to anyone.
